MY JOURNEY

In the earliest chapters of my life's book, the pages were often filled with me seeking approval from everyone around me. I held others' opinions up as a mirror to gauge my own worth. From being the shy girl who feared rejection to the teenager chasing love through relationships, and even the college student wearing a mask of confidence to hide my insecurities – these were the roles I played. But beneath it all, all I truly craved was acceptance, even if I sought it in all the wrong places.

Life had its twists and turns, one moment that shook me awake. Toxic relationships, disconnecting from my own feelings, and living a lifestyle that was far from healthy were my reality. It felt like a wake-up call, urging me to change my course. And that's when yoga entered – a safe haven that gently revealed the roots of my behaviors.

An inner whisper guided me to a life-altering decision. I embarked on a solo adventure to Vietnam, seeking new horizons and fresh perspectives. There, I started teaching English and dived headfirst into consistent yoga practice. With every stretch, every mindful breath, I began untying the knots that had held me captive.

As I ventured deeper into my own story, I realized there were layers I hadn't fully explored. One marked by my mother's absence due to her battles with mental illness, and my father's own struggles with addiction. The patterns seemed destined to repeat in my own life. But I chose a different route. I chose not to be a victim of circumstances. Instead, I took charge of my mental well-being and resolved to break the cycle.

This expedition towards healing took a leap when I faced the weight of my past, boldly stepping onto the path of self-acceptance. It hasn't been an easy journey – it's been a rollercoaster of emotions, a navigation through uncharted territory. But amidst it all, I unearthed the incredible power of loving myself.

This journey was more than just yoga and healing; it was about rediscovering myself, rewriting my story, and embracing my own strength. Today, I'm here, driven by the unwavering belief that our stories are not set in stone. They can be reshaped, reimagined, and transformed. It's this belief that fuels my passion to stand beside others on their own path of self-discovery, healing, and growth.
